Readers will use tools and strategies to grasp the features and structures of informational text to better be able to comprehend informational text. When reading like a researcher, students will come to understand that they need certain skills to tackle informational text in order to gather a strong understanding of text read.
Turning Research into Writing:
When writing about a complex issue or topic, it is important to present findings in a clear and organized way. In informational writing, writers draw conclusions based on research, not opinion, and they present their findings in a factual way.
