  Health Program

An effective health program addresses the health needs and interests of students at different periods of growth and development.  Health education can guide a student to maintain and improve their physical, mental, and social health, prevent disease, and reduce health-related risk behaviors.  This is the goal of our school's health curriculum.

The Family Life portion of our health curriculum is mandated by the State of New Jersey.

Elementary Health Curriculum - The Great Body Shop

Topics will include nutrition, fitness, emotions, illness prevention, and safety to name a few. This health program is used in grades K through five and the course content meets the State Core Curriculum Standards.

Middle School Health

The intention of the MIddle School Health program is to enable students to impact peers, family and community with healthy attitudes and behaviors.  The curriculum is a tool for working on wellness through exploring knowledge, and applying and practicing life and thinking skills that lead to healthful behaviors.
