Grade 2 - Fluency

Grade 2 - Comprehension

         We have started our nonfiction unit.  The students have been busy reading and locating nonfiction text features.  They will learn new ways to incorporate comprehension strategies when reading this genre.

Grade 3 - Reading

        We have just started our Mystery Unit.  Students are learning to read like detectives- looking for clues that are "sprinkled into each chapter." They are also learning new vocabulary words associated with this unit - motive, suspect, red herring, alibi, etc.  Jigsaw Jones book series provide many opportunites for students to become detectives along with Jigsaw and Mila!
